Technical Editing for a Global Campaign, CBTW

I was approached by the Technology Leader at Collaboration Betters the World (CBTW), the parent company to Versett and a worldwide ecosystem of technology companies, to provide editing support for a white paper on Agile Architecture. I reviewed the translated document and provided nuanced suggestions for conversational tone and appropriate language and grammar edits, ensuring the content was succinct and consistent with CBTW's brand. The result was a whitepaper that allowed CBTW to run campaigns outside of its European audiences effectively, demonstrating my ability to edit and adapt technical documents for international audiences.

Editing for Inbound Marketing, Versett

The Growth & Marketing team needed to target a wide range of professionals across retail, higher education, financial services, and tourism. By researching search terms, we found a CMS auditing guide was the right play. I was responsible for shaping and editing the raw content provided by subject matter experts, contributing structural editing and layout design, and editing for voice, tone, diction, grammar, and cohesiveness. The resulting CMS Redesign Guide became one of Versett's highest-performing pieces of value-based content for inbound marketing, with a total of 455 people downloading the guide.

Editorial Leadership & Writing, Pacific Rim Magazine

As the Features Editor for Pacific Rim Magazine, I led the editing process for the magazine's feature stories, including a headline story on transgender healthcare access. I worked closely with the writer throughout the editing process, performing substantive and copy editing and proofreading the magazine before print. I also led the creation and updating of PRM's style guide. As a writer, I contributed three stories for the 2018 "Transition Issue" including "A Better Brighter Future,” “What About the Salmon Sharks,” and “Kokomo.”
